Identification Systems
Goal of the course: To provide knowledge of identification systems and their principles. The course presents identification systems, identification technologies, their features, measurement, security and standards. Spans from barcodes to RFID and biometry. Discusses applications of identification systems, e.g. identification of vehicles, devices and processes, reservation and check-in systems, etc.

Lecture topics
- Topic 0: introductory lecture
- Topic 1: barcodes history, bar codes principle, error correction, techniques: PDF417 and QR code
- Topic 2: RFID, supplement
- Topic 3: biometrics
- Topic 4: application: vehicle identification
Practical project
Part of the course is a practical project, where students have to propose, design, build / implement and try biometric identification system (see picture below)!
