Information for students completing their studies

 

Students finishing their study at the Czech Technical University in Prague, Faculty of Transportation Sciences, conclude their study with the defence of the Thesis and final state examinations from three courses related to the study.

Formal procedure 

Students have to follow the requirements in the Study and Education Code, Dean's Directive (see the page Study regulations) and in the Vice-Dean's Notice.

Vice-dean for education's NOTICE for the students in the following master´s study programme in Prague who will complete their studies in May and June 2012

 

Requirements on all students (students studying their 4th semester at CTU, see the details and deadlines in the vice-dean's notice):

  • All courses finished and recorded in the university system - for semesters at foreign university all courses must be recognized based on transcript of records and application for recognition. 
  • Submit application for completion of the study (in paper) 
  • Submit application for the registration for the final state examination - electronically using the KOS program.

Fill in the application in the KOS programme in form 55552 - Registration for the SZZ. This application is only accessible via the Arctel interface form the computers in computer laboratories. Help how to use Arctel.

In this registration form it is necessary to fill in the courses of the SZZ - 20 compulsory and 1 optional (After pressing key F3 the option of courses appears). Further it is necessary to verify the title of the master's thesis both in Czech and Englich as the topic of the master's thesis written in the KOS system will be printed in the diploma suplement.

  • Submit the thesis
    • Students finishing their study at the Czech Technical University in Prague, Faculty of Transportation Sciences, must follow the deadlines according the academic year time schedule and procedures in the Vice-Dean's Notice (regarding the number of thesis delivered, etc.).
    • Students in the joint degree form of study must submit one paper version (hard binded) of their Thesis containing also CD with electronic version, fulfilling the requirements of CTU-FTS, latest at the final thesis defence.

  • Check and conclude the applications at the Study department

 

Requirements on students defending their thesis at partner university

  • Submit application for recognition of the final state exams.
